:: Event #49 ($50K H.O.R.S.E.): Fin Ville Wahlbeck, who is second in the 2009 WSOP POY race, has galloped* out to the lead with 1.25 mil in chips. He’s followed close behind by Erik Sagstrom and the half-man, half-amazing Freddy Deeb. The young Swede and the 2007 H.O.R.S.E. world champ are neck and neck** with 1.2 milion.

:: Event #50 ($1,500 Limit Holdem Shootout): Greg “FBT” Mueller is closing in on his second WSOP bracelet of the series. He currently has a 5-to-1 chip advantage over Marc Naalden. David Williams went out fourth.

:: Event #51 ($1,500 NLH): whatever

:: Event #52 ($3,000 Triple Chance NLH): Big story here is that this year’s triple WSOP bracelet winner Jeffrey Lisandro continues to run hot and is slaying the field on Day 1. He’s currently stacked at 131k.

:: Event #53 ($1,500 7CS Hi-Lo/8 or better): 467 players entered the event, which is just a tad more than the number of people playing who don’t know crap about 7CS 8 or better.
