2009 WSOP Round-Up: A Good Day for Action Junkies

With the $1k Stimulus Event still stacked, plus the start of the $1,500 PLO and $10,000 Seven Card Stud championship, a lot of the top pros were multi-tabling at the 2009 WSOP yesterday. Good action day. Here’s the recap.

:: Event #4 ($1,000 NLH): The field is down from 6,012 to 50. Danny Fuhs is the chip leader, stacked at 1,112,000. Other “names” still alive include Amanda Baker (655,000), Steve Sung (335,000), Dan Heimiller (210,000), Jonathan Aguiar (150,000), and Lee Watkinson-Markholt (108,000). :: Event #5 ($1,500 PLO): A field of 809 played down to 81. Jason Mercier built a huge chip lead, ending the day stacked around 227,000. Get a tournament recap here.
