Event #2 ($40,000 NLH): With the bust-out of  Tony G in 10th place, the final table is set for the $40,000 NLH event. Probably not exactly what ESPN was hoping for in the “star-studded” department. But you know what they say about can’t always getting what you want. Isaac Haxton takes the chip lead into final table play, stacked at 5,955,000. He’s followed by Vitaly Lunkin with 4,565,000. Other notables include Evy’s boyfriend Lex “Evy’s boyfriend” Veldhuis (3,805,000), Greg Raymer (3,345,000), Justin Bonomo (1,685,000) and Ted Forrest (560,000). Full recap here.

Event #3 ($1,500 Omaha Hi/Lo): The field whittled down to19 players by the end of the day. Some more marquee names got KO’d right at the end of the day, including Edwin James Olmos Eli Elezra, Annie Duke, and Erick Lindgren (vlog below). Still remaining are half-man, half-amazing Freddy Deeb (266,000), Jordan Rich, a ginger (185,000), and Sebastian Ruthenberg (185,000). They all trail Ed Smith who is stacked at 433,000. Full chip counts here.

Event#4 ($1,000 NLH): The Stimulus Event would have to be considered a success, as the 6,000 person field is sold-out. Day 1A play wrapped with 376 remaining. Jason Mercier, ‘Captain’ Tom Franklin, David Plastik, and Amanda Baker would be some of the “name players” left. Full recap here.
