Pretty strong turnout for the 2010 WPT Festa al Lago.
A total of 294 signed up so far, and registration remains open through Day 2 until the end of Level 8. “Aesthetically” though, it was one of the most packed we’ve seen a WPT event at the Bellagio for awhile now, as all the tables in the Fontana Room were filled, and with more of the so-called “media” there then most events.
Day 1 ended with Payman Arjang (profile) as chip leader, stacked at 217,875. He’s followed by Peter Braglia with 160,100.
Other notable big stacks include but are certainly not limited to Jeff Madsen (139,375), Sorel Mizzi (119,400), Annette Obrestad, a woman (113,950), Men “The Master” Nguyen (102,625), David Williams (94,750), a chipmunk-cheeked from dental procedure John Juanda (92,525), and Joe Sebok (91,900).

The above vid btw is poker player’s commenting on when they think online poker will be legalized in the U.S. We wanted a few more people for it, but another project pulled us away before the second break. So to make up for it, we included gratuitous shots of Dwyte Pilgrim.
