John Racener is chewing up the competition in Event 23...

:: Event #22 ($1,500 PLO) – Down to a final table in this event with Juha Vilkki leading the way when play gets underway later today. In an impressive display of PLO dominance, Vilkki went wire to wire in pole position during Day 2. David “Doc Sands” Sands enters second to last in chips, and the rest… only their mothers could love. Winner walks with $292,825. Get full chip counts here.

:: Event #23 ($2,500 Eight-Game Mix) – 2010 WSOP Main Event runner-up and serial DUI-er John Racener finished up Day 2 of this event with a healthy chip-lead over second-place Mayu Roca Uribe. Other notables remaining in the 25-player field include Eric Buchman, John Juanda (on another deep run… maybe he can single-handedly win enough this summer to solve FTP’s issues), Ylon Schwartz, Marco Traniello and Max Pescatori. Winner receives $278,144 for their efforts. Full chip counts here.

:: Event #24 ($5,000 NLHE Shootout) – Obviously no chip leader in this format, so here’s a list of notable players who are among the 40 who survived their respective tables: JP Kelly, James Dempsey, Justin Bonomo, Adam Junglen, Gavin Smith, James Akenhead and Erik Seidel. All remaining players will walk away with a little something for their troubles with the winner receiving $436,568. Get the live reporting here once play gets underway.

:: Event #25 ($1,500 7-Card Stud Hi-Lo 8oB)Cyndy Violette, a woman, kinda leads the way in this event after Day 1 since she’s tied with Hernan Novick for the top spot. Lurking further down the field are co-voice-of-the-WSOP Norman Chad and Mike Sexton, both of whom are now after the coveted and elusive 7-Card Stud Hi-Lo 8oB Commentators Cup™. Also still alive are durrrr, Frank Kassela, newly-announced Team RISE Poker Pro Scotty Nguyen and a whole host of others among the 172 remaining players. Full chip counts here.
