2011 WSOPE Tournament Updates

Feels like this is the year that we've moved past the WSOPE bracelet isn't worth the same as a WSOP bracelet, doesn't it?

Lots of action and a full tournament slate at the 2011 WSOP Europe. Here are the latest updates as the WSOPE gears up for its Main Event this weekend.

:: Event #4 ( €3,200 NLH Shootout )Tristan Wade…dare we say…waded through a field of 258 to capture his first bracelet. For the win, Wade banked €182,048. Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier finished fifth (€47,763). Get full results here.

:: Event #5 (€10,400 NLH Split Format) – This event started as a full table event and went to heads-up with 16 remaining. They’re down to eight, with a stacked field that includes Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi, Shawn Buchanan, and Dan Fleyshman. Jason Mercier and Erik Seidel were KO’d in the Sweet 16 (€26,618).
