2012 WSOP Day 1B: Over 2,100 Enter; Selbst, Ho, Negreanu Among Big Stacks


Day 1B at the 2012 WSOP Main Event brought in double the number of entrants as Day 1A. By the end of registration, 2,114 ponied up $10k for a shot at $TBD.With an expected field of around 3,000 today, the Main Event should end up right around the 6,000 mark.

John Hoang finished Day 1B as big stack with 180,000. He’s followed by James Schafer with 171,250. Vanessa Selbst, a woman who likes women, is third overall with 168,350.

Plenty of big names had big days. Among those who made it through with healthy stacks include Jason Somerville (144,725), Daniel Negreanu (140,575), Maria Ho, a woman (130,425), Shaun Deeb (125,900), Sammy Farha (118,500), Eugene Katchalov (96,275), Erick Lindgren (91,600), Dan Harrington (83,750), Dee Dozier, a woman (42,200), and Liv Boeree, a woman (40,500).
