2012 WSOP Europe Main Event Update: Big Names Making Big Runs


ElkY held the chip lead going into Day 2.

Making Dr. Pauly very happy, a total of 420 entered the 2012 WSOP Europe Main Event. First place will earn €1,022,376.

As of post-time (noon EST Monday), around 125 remain. A lot of big names are among the big stacks, including current chip leader Joseph Cheong, Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier, Daniel Negreanu, Eugene Katchalov, Jesse Sylvia, Michael Mizrachi, and Phil Hellmuth.

In related news and we’re sure a dream to WSOP PR, Jonathan Aguiar won his epic(?) heads-up battle against Brandon Cantu in Event #5 (€10,450 Mixed Max). Aguiar claims his first bracelet and €258,047.
