2012 WSOP: Monnette Wins Bracelet; Musumeci Goes for the Girls

This guy is becoming one of the world's best mixed game players.

Two final tables today, including one where another woman, a woman, goes for gold. Here’s the latest:

:: Event #9 ($1,500 NLH Re-Entry) – Big final table. Ryan Olisar will start as chip leader, stacked at 3,715,000. He’s followed by 2011 two-time bracelet winner Brian Rast with 2,415,000. In third overall is Amanda Musumeci, a woman, with 2,040,000. We’ve had a number of close calls with women coming close to closing out bracelets. Can Musumeci come through here. Cue Asia. :: Event #10 ($5,000 7CS) – Already regarded as one of the best cash game grinders, John Monnette is starting to become a force on the tournament circuit now as well. Monnette outlasted a tough field and final table to earn his second bracelet in two years, banking $190,826 for this Event #10 win. Perry Friedman finished fourth ($53,470) and Jeffrey Lisandro came in fifth ($41,789). Mark Dickstein, who has dick in his name, was sixth ($33,325). Get full results here.

:: Event #11 ($1,500 PLO) – The field of 970 is down to a final table. Charles Tonne leads, stacked at 1,121,000. He’s followed by Joran van der Sloot Vincent Van Der Fluit with 951,000. Tristan Wade is seventh overall with 150,000. Get full chip counts here.

:: Event #12 ($10,000 NLH Heads-Up) – A total of 152 entered the 512 max field. Play ended with 32 remaining. Some notables who advanced include Antonio Esfandiari, LUCKY CHEWY!, and Vanessa Selbst. See the full list here.
