2012 WSOP Updates: Hastings, Friedman Win Bracelets, Ivey Just Misses

:: Event #12 ($10,000 NLH Heads-Up) – Nose-bleed specialist Brian Hastings broke through and captured his first bracelet, banking $371,498. He defeated Jason Mo heads-up. Get full results here.

:: Event #13 ($1,500 Limit Hold’em) – David Arsht defeated a mostly friends and family final tableTM to bank his first bracelet and $211,921. Get full results here.

:: Event #14 ($1,500 NLH Shoot-Out) Brandon Schaefer (above) outlasted a final table that included Layne Flack and Jeff Madsen to win his first bracelet. Schaefer collects $311,174 for the win. The aforementioned Flack finished fourth ($87,446) and the aforementioned Madsen came in seventh ($36,809). Get full results here.

:: Event #15 ($5,000 7CS 8oB) – Possibly the marquee final table of the 2012 WSOP so far. Phil Ivey was in contention for his first bracelet of the year, but flamed out in seventh for $34,595. Also in contention was John Monnette, who was going after his second bracelet in a week. But the mercurial Monnette finished third for $109,444. In the end, the event was won by Adam “The Crying Ginger” Friedberg, who for once really couldn’t play any better. Friedberg collects his first bracelet and $269,037. He defeated Todd Brunson ($166,269) heads-up for the title. Get full chip counts here.
