The $50k H.O.R.S.E. event is finally underway, kicking off a slew of bad racing jokes, analogies, and metaphors by poker writers everywhere...
Maybe The EconomyTM really is impacting poker that badly.
The start of the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event was delayed today, presumably to allow for more satellites and sign-ups. Around start time, it was rumored that only around 50 people had registered.
Scotty Nguyen however just gave it the old shuffle up and deal, and play is now underway. We’ll see how high sign-ups go from here…
UPDATE: About 60 people have taken their seats now.
UPDATE II: Now about 70…or slightly less than half of last year’s field. Wow.
