The total number of entrants for the 2009 WSOP Main Event was just posted as 6,493. Assuming the official announcement is coming soon. Carry on.
UPDATE: If you’re following us on Twitter, you already heard that the official number of entrants in the 2009 WSOP Main Event is 6,494, down from last year’s 6,844. A total of 648 places will get paid with first taking home $8,546,435. The total prize pool is $61,043,600.
Relatedly, the Wayans Brothers now only make up 13.99% of the field.
