Jessica Gomes (above), a model from Australia who has appeared in the SI Swimsuit Issue, is of no relation to Alex Gomes, who won the WPT Bellagio Cup V.
With The EconomyTM still taking it’s toll and the 2009 WSOP depleting everyone’s bankroll, there’s a decent chance you’ll see registration across the board continue to slide for WPT events.
The Bellagio Cup V concluded yesterday, with Alex Gomes winning his first WPT title and banking $1,187,670. Still another new WPT millionaire, but those top prizes are dwindling. Gomes, who won a WSOP bracelet last year, is a Team Poker Stars pro from Brazil.
In second was Faraz ‘The-Toilet’ Jaka with $774,780. Erik Seidel, who dubbed this the “toughest final table” in WPT history, finished sixth for $164,640.

It was Martin’s brother Bill that hurt his knee. Please explain some more what happened to BoostedJ.
He was celebrating a double with his friends on the rail and he busted up his knee. He claims to have torn his ACL. He had to be carried back to the table. Played the rest of the FT with a ice pack on his knee. And then left in a wheel chair.
