:: And the 2011 WPT World Poker Finals, which surprisingly is not the final poker event in the world this year, started Thursday. A total of 185 registered with 141 making it through the day. Tom Schrieber is the overnight chip leader with 104,000. Before the event started, we called our shot and said that THIS would be the first WPT open event won by a woman. Only one woman, Kathy Liebert, a woman, survived Day 1. At least she’s among the big stacks with 90,000. Get full chip counts here.
