A few major tournaments wrapped at the 2013 WSOP on Tuesday. Here is the latest…
:: Event #6 (THE MILLIONAIRE MAKERTM) – Benny Chen, a restaurant manager (would you like some cheese?) from French Canada (Duhamel) took down the biggest non-Main Event tournament in poker history, capturing the inaugural Millionaire Maker. Chen banks nearly $1.2M for the win. Get the full recap here.
:: Event #7 ($1,000 NLH) – Perhaps the best final table ever for a $1k buy-in event saw Matt Waxman defeat Eric Baldwin in what we’d call an “epic” heads-up battle had Epic Poker not forever ruined the word “epic” as it relates to “poker” for the industry. Maxman earns just over $305k and his first bracelet. With the second place finish, Baldwin falls just short of his second bracelet. He earns $189,200. Get full final table results here.
:: Event #8 ($2,500 8-Game Mix) – Michael Malm outlasted a final table that included Greg Mueller, Dario Alioto, and and Mike Wattel to claim his first bracelet. Malm earns just over $225k for the win. Get full results here.
:: Event #9 ($3,000 NLH Shoot-Out) – Down to the final table on this one. The remaining include David “Bakes” Baker, Tim West, and Johnny “Cliff Josephy” Bax. Former WCP HPT hostess winner Cherish Andrews, a woman, just missed the final table. Who else made it? Go here.
