As Booth explains it, Full Tilt had him on salary where he was “promised a certain amount [of cash] a month, rakeback” and more. This agreement was based on a handshake deal with Bitar, who handles Tilt player sponsorships. But with Booth in his “igloo” up north (awesomely his words, not ours) and out of sight, Tilt just stopped paying him his monthly deal. Since nothing was papered, he doesn’t have much recourse.
This is why you need agents, btw.
Booth made it clear he’s got nothing against the Iveys, Lederers, and Blochs of the Tilt world, as he doubts they know anything about his bum deal. But he did say he thinks Bitar is an “idiot.”

Is it me or is the idiot the one who makes a deal to get paid x dollars a month to pimp a poker site and does not get the deal in writing? Just wondering…
I think that would make many many big name pros idiots because a LOT of them did their deals (and still do) on a handshake..
Unfortunate for Brad that he didn’t have this in writing, but the poker world really has up to this point relied on verbal and handshake deals/loans etc.
It’s a wake up call for the rest of the players.
If only everyone had listened to Brad Booth back in ’09, Black Friday would never have happened lol.
