Could one of these two be the winner of our Last Woman Standing Cup?

Now that we’re around 330 players, it’s time to examine the race for the (now defunct) Last Woman Standing CupTM.

At dinner break on Day 4, by our calculation, there are around 8 women left in the field.

Our personal pick for last woman standing is a newly slimmed and trimmed Annette Obrestad, a woman. Annette bucks the perception many have of female poker players in that she’s good.

Our darkhorse pick is Jackie Glazier, a woman. Jackie, who hails from Australia, is among the 4,789 players Team Ivey pros who entered the Main Event. She almost won a bracelet this year in WSOP Event $41 ($3,000 NLH). Jackie was also a contender for the Last Woman Standing Cup last year, finishing 284 in the Main Event.

Other women remaining include Sarah Herzali, a woman, Melanie Weisner, a woman, Kima Kimura, a woman, Kristy Green-Gazes, a woman, Beverly Lange, a woman, [..........], a woman, and Estelle Denis, a woman.
