For those unfamiliar of Pilgrim, the dude has grinded out more cashes in the past two years then just about anyone (and possibly everyone). He is a tournament cashing machine. If you put him in a tournament, he will fucking cash in it. Just watch. He’s like a black Phil Ivey.
Anyway, while Pilgrim crushes circuit events (including a win at Rincon last year), he doesn’t have many high-profile cashes. Until now!
Amazingly, the highest dollar amount Pilgrim has banked among his 36 cashes is $125k for his aforementioned WSOP-C Rincon win last year. So he’s already locked into his biggest all-time cash with this WPT Borgata Poker Open final table (sixth pays out $148k).
In the above interview with Matt Savage, Pilgrim sounds more football player than poker player, and drops the gem that he plans on playing “brazilian Gracie jiu-jistsu” level good on TV today.
Pilgrim enters the final table stacked fourth overall with 4,800,000. Ofir Mor leads everyone with 7,300,000. Get full chip counts here.

My all time favorite WCP line: “If you put him in a tournament, he will fucking cash in it. Just watch. He’s like a black Phil Ivey.”
