Epic Poker Does It Again

Epic Poker absolutely crushed it again.

A total of 100 players (up 3%) entered Epic’s third Main Event ($20,000 Mix-Max) on Wednesday.

This was exceptionally impressive as the upstart tour had virtually no competition on the circuit this week. With no major domestic events on the slate, and only the WPT Venice (get Day 2 chip counts here) to contend with internationally, pulling 100 has to be considered a major accomplishment.

Additionally, all 10 of the top 10 qualified GPI pros played this event, as well as about 85 of the other 250-ish qualified players.

Erik Seidel ended Day 1 as the chip leader, stacked at 223,100. He’s followed by The Intense Stare of Scott Clements with 203,400.

Vanessa Selbst, a woman (159,000), Brock Parker (155,600), and David Williams (155,400) round out the top 5.

I agree with the last comment. Love Chops…but lets say what Epic is really….they are just waiting for online poker to go legal and open a site. Their TV product is horrible….its not different than any other product on TV and the hype about seeing the best players is weak….if I want to see the best players I would watch WSOP….especially with a “commissioner” of Annie Duke…who is the best bias person in the world….how is Epic funded, how are they making money….who is really behind this….Epic Fail League……seems like Pollack has sour grapes after getting booted from WSOP
