EPT San Remo, WSOP-C Hammond Pull Strong Fields

Much like Columbian model Catalina Otalvaro, we also keep pontificating if the live tournament numbers will continue to be so strong. Unlike Catalina, we don't wonder this while wearing lingerie.

In general, Black Friday did this to almost every segment of the poker industry.

Every segment, that is, except for live tournaments.

Unless you’re the Epic Poker League, the live tournament circuit continues to draw strong numbers across the board. Much like the so-called “Internet,” it appears as if the the live poker circuit is here to stay. That’s our deeply researched¬†assessment, at least.

:: 2011 EPT San Remo – A total of 837 entered this year’s EPT San Remo. As of post-time, just under 100 remain. Plenty of notables among the big stacks, including Vanessa Selbst, Joseph Cheong, Lex Velduis, Mike McDonald, Johnny Lodden, John Duthie, Barney Boatman, and David Bach. Stacked remaining field. :: 2011 WSOP Circuit Hammond – Another week, another massive field for the WSOP Circuit. This go around, 1,615 entered, producing a first place prize of $393,584. A total of 20 remain, including Dan Harrington. Get full chip counts here.
