Now, we don’t throw words like “genius,” “love,” or “falcon” around lightly. For example, if we meet a new friend, we don’t go telling everyone we “love” this person after a few weeks. That’s because that only happens if you’re on reality TV or if you have a vagina.
Same goes for the word “genius.” It’s like Gwenyth Paltrow‘s character in The Royal Tenenbaums told Eli Cash: she just doesn’t throw that word around. (which Eli had lead in with: “Why would a reviewer make the point of saying someone’s *not* a genius? Do you especially think I’m *not* a genius?”)
Anyway, as you can see, there is almost no chance we’d call somebody a genius unless we really meant it. So why does Andrew Feldman get such distinction?
On a scale of 1-10, the chances of us embedding this week’s edition of Inside Deal with Kevin Schaffel was around a -47. Except Andrew Feldman, genius that he is, decided to name “us” as the “funniest person” in poker during a game of Pokerdy. This caused an approximate 100 point swing on a scale of 1-10 of us embedding the episode.
The reference comes in around the 10:40 remaining mark. In semi-related news, Laura Lane can do some funky shit with her arms (watch intro). She appears to be very bendable. MAXIM shoot, Laura. MAXIM shoot.
