Time to ease back into poker news reporting after a nice long Labor Day weekend. On a side note, we’ll be a little light on posts this week as we prep for our Girls on the Rail Hall of Fame voting (yes, voting really is going to start this week), something that requires way more effort than you’d think.
It’s been a big year for 21 year-old Jake Cody.
Back in January, the Brit won the EPT Deauville, clearing over $1.2M. Nine months later, Cody takes down his first World Poker Tour title, winning the WPT London for $425,492.

And in related news, Justin “BoostedJ” Smith won the WPT High Rollers event, defeating Tony G heads-up. Smith banks $219,131 for the win. G takes home $131,479 for second, and Freddy Deeb banked $87,653 for third.
