One trend we’re seeing at the 2009 WSOP Main Event is an increase of tech company CEOs in the field.

Two of those CEOs, Jason Calcanis (mahalo.com) and David Sacks (geni.com & yammer.com) plunked money down on a time honored poker tourney tradition: the last-longer bet.

Michael Arrington of techcrunch.com got involved as well, wagering on Sacks, which was a good call since Calacanis was knocked out on Day 2B. Sacks is alive with an above average stack, which means he’ll be bailing on his Real-Time Stream CrunchUp on Friday at TechCrunch 50 conference.

Read more about it and on the other tech execs playing in the Main Event here.
