It's just like high school. But I really can't believe you're giving him a free pass on this. I don't believe the "communication error" apology. Are we sure that he even realizes that the Sex Pistols God Save the Queen is not just an "embellishment from a punk rock band" and that it's not an actual "version" of the British national anthem? If there truly had been a miscommunication and if he truly knew that the Sex Pistols version was really an anti-national anthem, then he would've stopped the ceremony as soon as it "hit the airwaves" instead of standing up there rocking out. Would be great to see the reaction if they played a "version" of the Star Spangled Banner that kicked off with the first lines being "Oh say can you see, the fascist regime..."
