Anthony Roux of Team Winamax, seen here at the 2008 WSOP with a hotter Girl on the Rail than is being found in London, finished fifth in WSOPE Event #1.

Event #1 (£1,000 No Limit Hold’em) has wrapped, with Brit JP Kelly taking the first bracelet of the 2009 WSOP Europe and his second of the year.

Kelly defeated Fabien Dunlop heads-up for the title. For the win, Kelly banks £136,803, or roughly $4.5M U.S. American dollars right now.

WSOPE Event #2 (£2,500 Pot Limit Hold’em/Omaha) is also being played today. As of post time, the starting field of 158 has only 26 remaining, with Tristan Clémençon (gotta be a frog) currently big stacked. Others remaining include but are certainly not limited to Eric Cajelais, Men Nguyen, Annette Obrestad (a woman), Hoyt Corkins, Huck Seed, Howard Lederer, and Vitaly Lunkin.
