With most of the legal jeopardy and fallout from the Department of Justice indictments waning, there has been an uptick of information coming out regarding the goat rodeo that was Full Tilt Poker operations post-Black Friday....

Day 1′s of the EPT Barcelona have wrapped, and with a consolidated field playing now, Lex Veldhuis is among the early chip leaders. Other big stacks include Carter Philips, Matt Woodward, Mike McDonald, Roland de Wolfe, and Bertrand ‘ElkY’ Grospellier.
A total of 478 players entered the event, creating a first place prize of over $1.2M.
Not among those still competing for the mil plus prize is Vanessa Rousso, who before she left, at least let us know if she prefers a shaved, waxed, or 70′s bushy look. Because, well, these are things we need to know.
I saw Lex in two of the televised events on espn’s coverage of the WSOP. I had never heard of him prior to this, and he was quite impressive with his reads and ability to bluff in the right spots. Hes definitely another top internet player to watch out for and might have the jump on Dwan and the other internet sensations that focus on cash games.
@ poker rakeback: and yet, Lex somehow blew up spectacularly by day two, which hints to me that he may lack the “turn down the aggression when necessary” gene. Watching him abuse the table on day one on ESPN was absolutely painful – for the poor victims of the repeated bluffs he kept showing. No one wanted to call him, because he’d already shown so many bluffs that they figured he must have a hand this time!
Lex clearly has a lot of talent, don’t get me wrong.

In this one, we cover [...]
Here’s Part 2 of the latest Wicked Chops & GavinTM podcast. What happened to Part 1? Some back-end technical difficulties that we’re blaming on Falcon Heene. Little fucker is at it again. Part 1 should be up later today. So Part 2 of the podcast was based on a brilliant Gavin Smith idea: the Awesome [...]
