One of our favorite events of the year didn’t disappoint, as a great mix of players and pop culture personalities converged at the Commerce Casino for the 2011 iteration of the WPT Celebrity Invitational.
A total of 482 played down to 129 on Day 1. Many big names are among the big stacks. Leading the way is the First Lady of PokerTM Linda Johnson, a woman, with 198,100. She’s followed by the guy that more or less owes his poker career to the WPT Celebrity Invitational, Phil Laak, with 115,300.
Other notable bigs include but are certainly not limited to Barry Greenstein (109,000), Antonio Esfandiari (67,600), Bill Parks (60,600), Lauren Kling, a woman (53,300), and Liv Boeree, a woman (42,500).
And unfortunately one of the mini-Bound reunion hotties (above) made it through. Gina Gershon (holding up very well for 49…) was eliminated but Jennifer Tilly (ditto for 52) survived with 21,700. Rewatch their legendary lesbian scene here.
