Lisa Hamilton, A Woman, Goes for WPT Jacksonville Championship

Will Lisa Hamilton, a woman, become the WPT's first open event female champ today?

Were we just one WPT off?

A few weeks ago, we predicted that the WPT was going to have their first female open event winner at the World Poker Finals. We were wrong. But maybe not by much.

Lisa Hamilton, a woman, looks to become the first World Poker Tour female winner at the WPT Jacksonville on Tuesday. You may remember Hamilton as the Hawaiian cutie who won the 2009 WSOP Ladies Event. She enters the final table stacked third overall at 1,901,000. She trails Anthony Ruberto (4,500,000) and yesterday’s chip leader Vitor Coelho (2,570,000).

ClubWPT qualifier Artie Rodriguez is fifth with 797,000.

The man the myth the legend, Black Phil Ivey, Big Sldick, the one and only Dwyte Pilgrim finished 16th ($17,524).

Follow the final table live (on a 30-minute delay) today at 9:30am PT/12:20pm ET and see if Lisa can make WPT history here.
