Oh By The Way, the DoJ Controls UltimateBet Assets Now

Oh yeah, you guys were part of this too…

Overlooked in all of the finality of PokerStars‘ acquisition of Full Tilt Poker yesterday was that the U.S. government will soon control the assets to UltimateBet/Absolute Poker.

States the Government:

The motion also requests that the Government be permitted to liquidate the Absolute [Poker] assets, with the net proceeds of that sale to be held pending the resolution of claims filed by other parties who have asserted an ownership interest in the Absolute assets.

The motion states that Absolute Poker, or whoever the hell is actually still overseeing the company, has agreed to forfeit all assets to the U.S. government.

Interestingly, the one major indictee not mentioned in the Stars/Tilt/Absolute/UB announcements yesterday was Absolute founder Scott Tom. Likely coked up on a Panamanian beach, dude probably still isn’t aware he’s even indicted.

Read the motion in full here.
