Right before the 2008 WSOP Event #1 ($10,000 Pot Limit Hold’em) final table began, Full Tilt Poker
FTP brought out its heavy hitters for the conference, as Antonius was flanked by Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, and Chris "Jesus" Ferguson. Footage of the press conference below.
The final table for Event #1 is still going on. Antonius was eliminated in seventh, banking $124,080. As of 10pm Sunday night, only four remain with Andy Bloch still holding on to the chip lead, stacked just shy of 3 mil.
He’s followed by Nenad Medic, Kathy Liebert (a woman), and short-stacked Mike Sexton.
The aforementioned Ferguson is among the current chip leaders in Day 1b of Event #3 ($1,500 NLH). The tournament set a record field with over 4,000 runners. Day 1a chip leaders included David Robertson (109,100) and Shane ‘Shaniac’ Schleger (89,000). We’ll have a full recap of that tomorrow. A very, very undetailed and lazy recap.
