Rinat Bogdanov Wins the WPT Venice; Mercier Among Leaders at WPT Lucky Hearts

First, Rinat Bogdanov of Russia, whom you may recall from nothing, captured his first poker, well, anything, by winning the WPT Venice Grand Prix. For the win, Rinat banks $302,065.

Back in U.S. America, the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Lucky Hearts Poker Open kicked off Friday. The  $3,500 buy-in non-televised event has a unique format in that players eliminated on Day 1A can re-buy into the tournament on Day 1B.

Leading the way after the aforementioned Day 1A is Uri Kadosh with 275,500. Not far behind in third overall is Jason Mercier with 176,400.
