Sam Trickett Wins Aussie Millions $100,000 Challenge

Not on hand to see Sam Trickett's win? Australian model Miranda Kerr, who just had a baby, which means she'll never look as good as this again.

Seems like there’s a lot of $1M+ prizes lately, right?

Twenty-four year-old Brit Sam Trickett is the latest million-plus winner, taking down the 2011 Aussie Millions $100,000 Challenge.

Trickett outlasted a field of 38 to bank $1,525,000 AUD ($1,507,000 USD). Over the past 12 months, Trickett has quietly put together an amazing run, pushing his earnings during that span over $2.5M.

Tony Bloom finished second ($975,000 AUD) and Erik Seidel came in third ($625,000 AUD). For those keeping track at home, the third place finish gives Seidel over $10M now in career tournament earnings. Or about $4M more than Johnny Chan. Just sayin’.
