The PartyPoker Premier League V wrapped this week in Vienna, Austria. This year’s event brought in 16 top players, creating a $1.4M prize pool.
After some complicated point system where six people made the final table and then they added two more people somehow–the remaining 8 competed for a $500,000 first place prize.
U.S. American Scott Seiver eventually won the event, capping off a great year-long run that also saw him final table the WSOP $50k event and capture the WPT Championship. He defeated Dan “Jungleman” Cates ($300,000) heads-up for the title.
The win pushes Seiver’s career tourney earnings to just shy of $5M.
Phil Laak finished third ($175,000) and Patrik Antonius came in fourth ($125,000).
