Sorel Mizzi Leads Aussie Millions Final Table; Annette Obrestad, a Woman, Lurking

Sorel Mizzi has been absolutely pwning the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event.

While he hasn’t exactly gone wire-to-wireTM, he’s done about as close to that (in poker, at least) so far.

Mizzi has been a permanent fixture among the leaderboard for this tourney, and now takes a commanding chip lead to the final table, stacked at 6,033,000. The closest to him is Tyron Krost with 1,869,000. The above vid (from Day 3…let’s turn this stuff around faster, PokerNews) is Mizzi talking about how he’s been running like God.

Also in the hunt is Annette Obrestad, a woman. Obrestad is fifth overall with 1,349,000.

Annette Obrestad, A Woman, Among 2010 Aussie Millions Chip Leaders

Not sure if she did this on purpose for our Aussie Millions posts or not, but more pics are out of Australian model Miranda Kerr naked in GQ.

Day 4 of the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event wrapped with 18 players remaining.

The awesomely named Kosmas Dratsas is the overnight chip leader, stacked at 1,792,000. Annette Obrestad, a woman, is making yet another major tournament (and Aussie Millions) charge, as she’s second overall with 1,711,000.

You may recall, Obrestad nearly ushered in the apocolypse by capturing the first WSOPE Main Event. Fortunately, that didn’t happen. We’re all still here. Unless it did happen and we’re in some parallel universe and we don’t even know it. That’s right. We just blew your mind. Damn.

Sorel Mizzi is third with 1,695,000. Dan Shak is sixth overall with 1,144,000. Funny, Dan Shak’s ex Beth tweeted:

Luv all the comments on fb..congrats 2 Dan..not enough money in the world to change my marital status”

Also remaining, although short-stacked, is Jessica Dawley, a woman, with 295,000.

Phil Ivey All-Time Poker Tournament Money Winner

Once again, eff you Phil Ivey's wallet.

With a second place finish at the 2010 Aussie Millions $100,000 buy-in event, Phil Ivey has inched past Daniel Negreanu as poker’s all-time tournament money winner.

Ivey banked $600,000 in the event, giving him just shy of $13M in earnings. This puts him ahead of Negreanu by around math math math $413,000 or so.

Dan Shak, who for his sake we hope has finalized his divorce from Beth, won the tourney, banking $1,200,000. He finished fourth in the same event last year.

Get the full breakdown here.

In related Daniel Negreanu news, he’s doing well at the WPT Southern Poker Championship, which is currently on Day 2. He’ll need to finish math math math around 1st place to overtake Ivey again. Get full WPT chip counts here.

And in related Aussie Millions news, Day 1B of the Main Event has wrapped and a guy with a funny last name is the chip leader. Get Day 1B chip counts here.
