When you're really, really thirsty, sometimes there's nothing better than a big fat sip of water in your mouth.
Now we’re not suggesting nor implying anything, but let’s just say if you’re a good-looking guy in Hollywood without a good agent or pedigree then there are certain things that are, ahem, expected of you if you want to break in the biz. It’s like what’s expected of women who want to excel in the workplace. One of those things that goes with the territory…if you’re an actor. Or a woman.
While we’re not totally sure what all of this prelude has to do with poker, former actor Chad Brown was chugging along Event #53 ($1,500 7CS 8B) before getting derailed at the final table, going down in fourth place ($44,589). Currently, William Kohler and David Halpern (otherwise known as Who? and Who?) are playing heads-up for the title. Follow along here.

Poker Stars continues to add to its growing stable of pros.
On the heels of signing with marketing and representation agency Poker Royalty, Gavin Griffin has now inked a deal with the online poker giant. Griffin was the first player to win the poker media created "Triple Crown" (a WSOP bracelet, WPT title, and EPT title) when he captured the WPT Borgata Poker Classic earlier this year.
Also landing with Stars is 2006 Bluff Magazine Player of the Year Chad Brown. One of the most successful tournament players of the past few years, Brown is engaged to another Stars player, Vanessa Rousso, a woman, who also happens to be from Duke, in case you didn’t know that already.
In completely unrelated news, possibly the funniest episode of South Park ever, Canada on Strike.
