Justin Bonomo Wins 2012 EPT €100,000 Monte Carlo Super High Roller

Justin Bonomo, who attended this 2009 WSOP Bodog bowling party, captured his biggest live payday at the 2012 EPT Monte Carlo Super High Roller.

Justin Bonomo entered final table play of the 2012 EPT €100,000 Monte Carlo Super High Roller as the massive chip leader. He ended final table play with a massive pay day, capturing the title and banking €1,640,000.

Bonomo defeated Germany’s Tobias Reinkemeier (€1,064,000) heads-up for the title.

This makes only the second win of Bonomo’s live tournament career (he captured a WSOP-C event in 2009). The victory nearly doubles his career earnings, pushing him over the $5M mark.

Daniel Negreanu started final table play third overall. A win would’ve pushed Negreanu past Erik Seidel on the career live tournament earnings list, but instead he finished sixth for €310,000.

Patrik Antonius finished fourth for €443,000.

Temp Hutter did not play in the event.

2012 EPT Monte Carlo €100,000 Super High Roller Pulls 45, €1.6M to First

Jonathan Duhamel is resurging (that a word?) like Stacy Keibler this year.

Huge turn-out for the 2012 EPT Monte Carlo €100,000 Super High Roller event, as 45 players entered, creating a first place prize of €1,640,000.

Day 1 ended with Talal Shakerchi as big stack. He was followed by Jonathan Duhamel, who is pulling his best Erik Seidel impersonation to start off 2012.

As of post-time (7am PT), there are 22 remaining. Shakerchi is still big-stack, and he’s still followed by Duhamel.

Plenty of notables remain, including Tobias Reinkemeier, Patrik Antonius, Dan Shak, ElkY, Phil Ivey, Vanessa Selbst, Daniel Negreanu, and Erik Seidel.

Kevin Eyster Leads at EPT Monte Carlo, Moneymaker and Weisner Out

Kelly Brook Bikini

Kelly Brook in a bikini has nothing to do with the EPT Monte Carlo, thus making this photo purely gratuitous. Imagine that.

Day 3 at the EPT Monte Carlo is “in the booksTM” and leading the way is US American Kevin “1$ickDisea$E” Eyster. The 20-year-old online player was the first over the two mil mark today and ended up bagging 2,768,000 in chips by day’s end. Stacked second is fellow Anglo Matt Perins of UK (2.5 mil) and rounding out the top three is the pretentious sounding Jean Francois Talbot of Canada (2.43 mil).

If you read the headline above or have followed poker over the past 7 years, you’re probably not surprised to learn that Chris Moneymaker was eliminated after being among the leaders yesterday. Also out is Melanie “Callisto 5″ Weisner, a woman, so we guess this ain’t the Year of the WomanTM after all.

Notables still in include Nick Shulman (578,000) and…that looks like about it unless you count Dominykas Karmazinas. We hear he’s HUGE in Lithuania.

Finally, leading the way for players we wouldn’t want to be on a plane with based on name alone are Mesbah Geurf (758,00) and Ramzi Jelassi (590k).

Get full chip counts from today here.
