2010 WSOP Main Event: Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi Chip Leader

Grinder is crushing.

Heading into dinner break, here are the stories developing at the 2010 WSOP Main Event

:: The Mizrachi Brothers: WTF at this stage, right? The Mizrachi’s have owned the 2010 WSOP. As of post-time, Grinder has assumed the chip lead (5,600,000ish) and Robert is still alive with 850,000. Unprecedented in poker if they somehow both make the November NineTM. In related news, the four Mizrachi brothers will likely outcash the entire field of women in the Main Event.

:: Dudes Who Need More Love: And no, we’re not talking about Imari “Doctor” Love. Some of the game’s best younger pros who don’t get much attention–The Intense Stare of Scott Clements, John Racener, David Baker, Tony Dunst, Eric Baldwin, and Garrett Beckman–are all still alive.

:: Still The Year of The ComebackTM: Although Johnny Chan would’ve been the big comeback story, there’s still Hasan Habib, who has amazingly managed to keep himself alive all of these years, Juha Helppi, and Jean-Robert Bellande kicking it.

:: Fokke Beukers: Fokke Beukers.

About 115 remain. Get full chip counts here. Follow us on Twitter here.

WSOP Main Event: Evan Lamprea Leads; Chan, Grinder, Clements Lurk

Imari 'Doctor' Love (his nickname for himself, not our creation) is not a hot female co-host of a morning drive-time R&B radio show. He does however remain at the 2010 WSOP Main Event.

Like a high schooler having sex for the first time, we’ll make this quick.

A total of 205 remain in the 2010 WSOP Main Event. Evan Lamprea of America’s Cap is the chip leader, stacked at 3,564,000. He’s followed by Michael Skender with 3,527,000.

Some notables remaining include Theo Jorgensen (3,088,000), Alexander Kostritsyn (2,564,000), Johnny Chan (2,559,000), Fokke Beukers (2,273,000), Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi (1,793,000), Johnny Lodden (1,625,000), The Intense Stare of Scott Clements (1,535,000), Adam Levy (1,147,000), Garrett Beckman (1,100,000), Imari Love (1,086,000), Jean-Robert Bellande (946,000), Breeze Zuckerman (738,000), Dragan Galic* (732,000), David Benyamine (353,000), and Eric Baldwin (292,000).

Also, we’ll be doing a live chat on WCP all day Saturday as they play down to the November NineTM. More details to come on that over the next 48 hours…

2010 WSOP Main Event Day 5 Girls on the Rail Photo Dump

Super Cute Tat Girl was one of many fine entries into our Girls on the Rail catalogue today.

Since the so-called “media” isn’t allowed inside the ropes for the rest of the night, we’re doing our Girls on the Rail photo dump a little early.

For those who actually come here for poker news, Theo Jorgensen is the chip leader with 250 remaining. Also in the top 50 are Fokke Beukers, Johnny Chan, Jean-Robert Bellande, and Breeze Zuckerman.

With 300 Left Here’s Our Ideal Final Table

We’re at dinner break of Day 5 of the 2010 WSOP Main Event. There are about 300 or so remaining and exactly 2 women.

Looking at who’s left, here is our double rainbow of a November NineTM:

Fokke Beukers, Phil ‘OMGClayAiken’ Galfond, Johnny Chan, Jean-Robert Bellande, Imari Love, Breeze Zuckerman, Dragan Galic*, Scotty Nguyen

It’s a perfect list. First, you’ve got a guy named Fokke Beukers. You’ve got an online icon with OMGClayAiken. You’ve got a villian in Johnny Chan. Jean-Robert needs the $$$. Imari Love is an African-American. Breeze Zuckerman, a woman, is a sweet woman. Dragan Galic is not a real dragon. And Scotty Nguyen baby. Perfect.

However, looking at the list, here’s who we anticipate will make the N9:

Sanghyon Cheong, Richard Morgan, Farshad Fardad, Pascal LeFrancois, Bojan Gledovic, Ted Ely, Todd Brick, Damien Luis, Cuong Nguyen

Whatever. Matt Affleck is the current chip leader. Fokke Beukers, Clay Aiken, Johnny Chan, and Jean-Robert Bellande are in the top 50. Get full chip counts here.
