Joe Sebok On ESPN Inside Deal

After an intro featuring host of The Soup and star of Community Joel McHale (who is joined by a still wearing way too much clothing Laura Lane) ESPN’s Inside Deal welcomes Joe Sebok to its studio to talk about his signing with UltimateBet.

So today apparently is the all Seebs media day. As expected, the forums are blowing up on the news (not good). Most of the blogs have been more forgiving.

Anyway, check out Sebok on Inside Deal above. And go below after the jump for the pilot of Community. The intro scene is worth the price of admission.

Daniel Negreanu and Michael Binger are Nit-Twits

Daniel Negreanu and Michael Binger join Inside Deal this week. Negreanu talks about WSOPE (just a couple of days away, hard to believe). The two also square off in the first ever Inside Deal Nit-Twits (pretty funny, just watch it).

In related news, Laura Lane is still wearing too much clothing.

Mark Seif Addresses Absolute Poker Scandal (Again)

It’s been about two years since Mark Seif last publicly discussed the Absolute Poker scandal (view his RawVegas.tv interview here), but he joined ESPN’s Inside Deal to revisit it again. Watch the above video around 13:00 minutes in.

In somewhat related news, Poker Stars has gotta be happier than pigs in shit that the first non-Poker Stars guest on Inside Deal is talking about a cheating scandal on his site. Can’t script it better than that.

Inside Deal Names Their “Mount Cashmore”

Taking a page from the Bill Simmons “Mount Rushmore of…” ongoing column asides, ESPN’s Inside Deal has announced their Mount Cashmore of poker.

The list:

  • Doyle Brunson (no shocker)
  • Phil Hellmuth (no shocker)
  • Stu Ungar (mild shocker)
  • Chris Moneymaker (shocker)

Listen, this isn’t like the Poker Hall of Fame or something that has defined criteria, so ultimately who cares. But it’s surprising to see Ungar on there over Chip Reese, or Moneymaker instead of [insert plenty of names].

Who would you have put on the list?

ESPN Inside Deal Is Improving

ESPN’s second episode of Inside Deal is up, and it’s getting better already.

This week features poker agent wannabe Dennis Phillips, who talks about his mentoring role with the November NineTM, which apparently includes following them into the bathroom at the Rio on breaks and talking them into deals.

Definitely get to around 19:00 in for the Nintendo Wii Sexy Poker feature. Wtf.
