A sounds-just-about-right 1,116 entered Day 1A of the 2009 WSOP Main Event. While not a lot of the marquee name pros will be playing until Days 1C & D, many of the usual suspect celebs were part of yesterday’s field.

Among the field was the insanely hot Paola Martin, who was sitting at Andy Black’s table (Blue 36). Don’t know anything about her other than she also looks freaking fantastic in a bikini (here). UPDATE: The overnight chip leader is NOT Eric Cloutier (this guy) who managed to launder chip up to 150,750 15,750. He’s followed by Redmond Lee from London with 134,275.

Some big names who made it through to Day 2 include Jason Alexander, who talked with us about the Seinfeld reunion on Curb Your Enthusiasm here, with 89,575, Shane Warne (87,625), Lex Veldhuis (84,000), Eli Elezra (83,375), Dragan Galic (really? really his name? 79,750), Jeff Williams (77,550), Sandra Naujoks, a woman (76,725), Johnny Hennigan (76,250), Vitaly Lunkin (68,300), Jimmy Fricke (63,425), the aforementioned Andy Black (56,475), Phil Laak (53,025), Tony G. (42,325), Gus Hansen (38,075), Brad Garrett (36,625), Katja Thater, a woman (36,025), Greg ‘FBT’ Mueller (35,950), Sammy Farha (30,425), Beth Shak, a woman (25,525), Brad Kondracki (memba him??? 21,850), and Gavin Smith (17,750).

Among the 295 who hit the rail include Jerry Yang (shocker), Nelly (shocker), Orel Hershiser (shocker), and Allen Cunningham.
