2011 WSOP: Jon Turner Still Jamming; J.C. Tran Still Among the Breast

The spectacularly-breasted J.C. Tran (above) is running good at the 2011 WSOP.

No bracelets were won on Tuesday at the 2011 WSOP…but dare we say…many were lost?

Here’s a look at the latest:

:: Event #8 ($1,000 NLH) - Final table play was stopped with three remaining. The U.K.’s Sadan Turker holds a large chip lead, stacked at 7,910,000. He’s followed by Sean Getzwiller with 3,000,000. Short-stacked by still kicking is Jon “Pearljammer” Turner, a ginger, who is trying to shake the somewhat back-handed compliment Best Ginger Without a BraceletTM moniker. Turner has his work cut out for him, as he’s stacked at 1,680,000. As a consolation prize, Turner at least can rejoice in the fact that he halted play for awhile after noticing some marked cards. Or not. Read about the incident here.

:: Event #10 ($1,500 NLH Six-Handed) – The starting field of 1,920 is down to 15. Jeffrey Papola is the chip leader, stacked at 1,088,000. It’s a mostly friends and family remaining field. First place is playing for $544,388. Get full chip counts here.

:: Event #11 ($10,000 Omaha Hi/Lo 8oB) – The starting field of 202 is down to 22 in this one. French Canadian Guillaume Rivet (ring ring, ring ring) enters Day 3 as chip leader, stacked at 809,000. He’s followed by Italy’s Alessio Isaia with 535,000. Some other notables remaining include Mike Sexton (321,000), Steve Billirakis (232,000), Shaun Deeb (146,000), Freddy Deeb (127,000), and Josh Arieh (113,000). First banks $465,216. Get full chip counts here.

:: Event #12 ($1,500 NLH Triple-Chance) - A total of 1,340 entered with 160 surviving the day. The field pays out 144 places, so they’re right at the money bubble. First earns $352,808. Peter Hernandez ended play as chip leader, stacked at 124,700. He’s followed by Jonathan Karamalikis with 122,700. Right behind them is the spectacularly-breasted J.C. Tran with 117,000. We haven’t written much about the spectacularly-breasted one the past year, mostly because his absolute pwnage of the no-limit tournament scene stopped. After cashing at an insane rate from 2006-09 and rolling up over $7M in earnings), Tran went quiet in 2010, with two cashes for just over $10k. However, he’s already got a $22k score under his belt for this year’s WSOP, and seems to be refocused/running well, which is great news for people who like looking at pictures of girls with big boobs. J.C. Tran (above) had a good run at the 2009 WSOP Main Event...

We’ve had a surprising lack of photos of the spectacularly-breasted J.C. Tran during his 2009 WSOP Main Event run.

And now he’s been eliminated in 104th place. So as a tribute to one of our favorite players, above are pics from of J.C.’s latest photo shoots (more here).

Closing in on dinner break, Billy Kopp still has the chip lead and both Nichoel Peppe and Leo Margets are alive.

The Spectacularly-Breasted JC Tran Wins Second WSOP Bracelet

Our favorite photo of JC Tran and his spectacular breasts

Our favorite photo of J.C. Tran and his spectacular breasts.

As the spectacularly-breasted JC Tran knows all too well, the best things in life come in pairs.

And we’re not just talking about great boobs here. Or hot twins. Or a couple of sex-addicted supermodels strung out and naked in your hotel suite. Or two lipstick lesbians looking to spice things up with an Entity or two. Or three.

No, unfortunately we’re talking about WSOP bracelets.

Last night, the nicely-paired Tran finally paired the WSOP bracelet he won last year, and he did so in impressive fashion, outlasting a talented final table in Event No. 30 ($2,500 Pot-Limit Omaha) that included John Juanda, Theo Jorgensen, Chad Layne and two of the UK’s best pros (is that saying much?), Jeff Kimber and Hendon Mob-ster Ross Boatman. Along with his second career WSOP bracelet, Tran takes home $235,685 for the victory.

This is Tran’s third cash at this year’s series and his 26th WSOP cash overall. He now has nearly $7.8 million in tournament winnings.

Finishing in second was Kimber who earned $145,656. Boatman finished fourth and Jorgensen and Juanda were the first to go from the final table, finishing 8th and 9th, respectively. Complete payouts here.

In honor of Tran winning his second WSOP bracelet, boobs.

Some ho-hum winners yesterday but also lots of top pros in contention in a number of tourneys today. Here’s the run-down:

:: Event #28 ($1,500 NLH): Mike Eise (we’re 100% sure someone will have an Eisey Does It! headline…and hey look whaddaya know) defeated a friends and family final tableTM for his first bracelet and $639,331. Get full payouts and results here.

:: Event #29 ($10,000 NLH Heads-Up): Missing out on a chance to be relevant again, Johnny Chan got KO’d in the quarters, meaning no bracelet #11. Dustin “Neverwin” Woolf was knocked out in the same round. So it’s Brit John Duthieag against U.S. American Leo Wolpert for the title today at 2pm PT. It’s just like high school.

:: Event #30 ($2,500 PLO): Here we go, a solid final table with four bracelet winners. Ross Boatman will take the chip lead into final table play, stacked at 718,000. Also remaining are Theo Jorgensen (419,0000), the spectacularly-breasted J.C. Tran (above, more pics here, 387,0000), Rami Boukai (325,000), and John Juanda (129,000). Get full chip counts here.

:: Event #31 ($1,500 H.O.R.S.E.): The field of 770 is down to an interesting mix of 23. Fabrice Soulier who eats frog legs is chip leader with 351,000. He’s followed guy-with-hot-porn-star-girls’-name-searching-for-first-bracelet Shannon Shorr with 32,500. Also still remaining including but are not limited to Joe SeRock (152,500), Vanessa Rousso, a woman (131,000), James Van Alstyne (130,000), NWP‘s Bryan Micon, and Paul Darden (Year of the Brother!) 54,500. Get full chip counts here.

:: Event #32 ($2,000 NLH): A field of 1,534 entered the $2k no-limit hold’em event, with around 225 making it to Day 2. Some notable big stacks include Peter “Nordberg” Feldman, Alex Bolotin, and Neil Channing. Get full chip counts here.

:: Event #33 ($10,000 World Championship Limit Hold’em): The final tourney of the day had 185 entrants with 157 making through to today. Jennifer Harman-Traniello, a woman, is the chip leader stacked at 127,600. She’s followed by Maria Hooooooo! (113,400), Josh Arieh (112,100), and Shaun Deeb (106,000). Surprisingly, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, and Phil Ivey were all among the early eliminations. Get full chip counts here.

Liv Boeree Is Here To Pretty Things Up

Liv Boeree

Liv Boeree is rock and rolling on Day 2 of the $1k Stimulus Special.

Our favorite Brit hottie/poker player Liv Boeree is here on Day 2 of Event No. 4, the $1k Stimulus Special, which is now down from its original 6,012 to 450 or so players battling it out for the event’s $771,106 prize. Boeree was stacked at 26k last we checked and is guaranteed at least a $2,218 cash. After steamrolling to the chip lead yesterday, the spectacularly-breasted JC Tran continues to crush the field today, stacked at 218,000, or 17,818,000 chips from winning.

Check out live reports here. Click away below at photos of Liv from yesterday and today (last one is a GOTR who busted our photog; Liv’s the blurred head).
