The secret to Patrik Antonius' winning online poker ways...
Not surprisingly, two of the most consistent online winners over the years had the biggest 2009: Patrik Antonius and Phil Ivey.
Poker-King has a breakdown of the biggest winners and losers on Full Tilt for 2009. Antonius banked almost $9M, while Ivey cleared over $6M.
As for losers? While Tom “durrrr” Dwan had the worst month ever in November, he rebounded in December enough to only be the second most losing player (down $4.34M). Top reverse honors for most money lost goes to Gus Hansen, who ended the year down $5.57M.
Isildur1 finished fifth, down $2.2M.

Watch Negreanu Vlog: High Stakes Golf Results on RawVegas.tv
There was a bit of a bitchfest after the match by members of Antonius’ team (although not by Patrik) because of how bad the beatdown was today and if Negreanu’s team accurately represented their skill level, but if we lost that much money today, we’d find something to bitch about too.

Not sure the exact stakes, other than the rumor is it’s pretty freaking high. As is typical with these bets, lots of side action as well. Rumor is Erik Sagström and possibly Phil Ivey (unconfirmed) have a $200,000 side bet where they flipped a coin to determine which team they got.

Watch Patrik Antonius Has Something Against the Wynn Golf Club on RawVegas.tv
However, Patrik Antonius doesn’t like Mark Vos for reasons other than the color of his hair. This is interesting, because we thought the hierarchy of reasons why people don’t like someone go pretty much like this: 1) they’re a ginger, 2) they believe in the 9/11 conspiracy, 3) they’re a ginger, 4) they slept with your wife or something.
Now apparently the bad feelings between Antonius and Vos stem from a comment Vos made regarding Antonius possibly multi-accounting (Vos explains it on 2+2 here).
In a recent interview with Black Belt Poker, Antonius comments on the Vos “feud” by saying:
“I’m angry with Mark Vos because he… er…. he… yeah, he’s pretty much a fucking idiot. He’s been saying things to people about me that aren’t true and it’s been interfering with and disturbing my work. We work under the same company, and he’s been telling things to the top of the company which weren’t true. He shouldn’t be talking about things that he doesn’t know about.”
Apparently Mark Vos never watched the above video. If he had, he would’ve learned that you NEVER piss off Patrik Antonius. Wonder if Patrik thinks Mark should work at McDonald’s (about 3:42 in)?
Anyway, maybe they can get all Gus Hansen and Theo Jorgensen and work it out in the ring.
