Phil Laak Wins Heat 2 of PartyPoker Premier League IV; Benyamine Wins Heat 3

David Benyamine in the news = pictures of Erica Schoenberg. So keep it up, Mr. B.

Not sure what’s going on here, but Phil Laak went back-to-backTM over the weekend, winning the first two heats, whatever that means, of the PartyPoker Premier League IV.

Laak banked another $32,000 for the win, meaning this weekend he like quintupled his career earnings.

The third heatTM of the PPPL4TM was won by David Benyamine, who like Laak greatly out-kicked his coverage in the girl department back when he was with Erica Schoenberg.

Overall, Laak leads everyone in points, which apparently you accumulate en route to eventually being the winner?

We might have to go to the M Resort in Las Vegas on Tuesday to investigate what the hell this whole PPPL4TM thing is.

In the meantime, try to make sense of it all here.

Phil Laak Wins Heat 1 or Something of PartyPoker Premier League IV

Is there a better looking 50 year-old than Jennifer Tilly? Anyone? Anyone?

We’re not sure what exactly this PartyPoker Premier League IV is, but for some reason the so-called poker media Poker News is covering it (and Tony G is sponsored by PartyPoker, and Tony G owns PokerNews…heeeeeeeeey), and math math math there were three previous iterations of it, and it attracted some big names, so whatever. Slow news weekend.

Phil Laak won his first “heat” of it, whatever the fuck that means, securing 16 points that count towards something. He also won $32,000, almost tripling his career tournament earnings.

Kidding there (only slightly) but seriously, this is Laak’s biggest score since getting Jennifer Tilly to go out with him.

The spectacularly-breasted J.C. Tran came in second and the gorgeous Yevgeniy Timoshenko came in third for 11 and 8 points respectively, whatever the significance of that may be.

Get a full recap here. More Laak and Tilly pics here.

Annette Obrestad, A Woman, Among EPT Grand Final Day 2 Chip Leaders; Phil Laak Still Alive (!)

Vanessa_Claudio
Vanessa Claudio, a woman, is not among the many female chip leaders at the EPT Grand Final. However, she IS among the hottest girls we've ever seen come out of Mexico. Granted, that list is like five girls deep, but still, we'd gladly self-inflict ourselves with the swine flu for a romp with Claudio…if we were single. Love you honeys! View more Vanessa Claudio in Max Magazine here.

Some big stories are developing in Monte Carlo at the EPT Grand Final: 1) Can Annette Obrestad, a woman, capture her second major live tournament title in two years? 2) Can Sandra Naujoks, a woman, capture her second EPT title? 3) Did Phil Laak really make it to Day 3 of a major event? How did that happen? Phil Laak? 4) Seriously though, Phil Laak?

Of the 935 starting field, 149 remain after Day 2 wrapped. Marc Naaldenis overall chip leader, stacked at 770,000. Among other chip leaders are the aforementioned Annette Obrestad, a woman (600,000), the aforementioned Naujoks, also a woman (280,000), Ilari "ziigmund" Sahamies (200,000), Sorel Mizzi (170,000), Alexander Kravchenko(157,000), seriously wtf Phil Laak (150,000), Dennis Phillips (135,000), J.J. Liu, a woman (130,000), and "Salty" Joe Hachem (130,000).

Also still alive going into Day 3 is Phil Laak. Wait, what?

Get full chip counts here.

Gavin Smith vs. Phil Laak Marshmellow Prop Bet

As we walked up to the WPT Bellagio Cup IV for a brief Rio getaway, we were immediately whisked outside.

"Dude, Gavin Smith is about to take on a Phil Laak prop bet. Newhizzle has Gav. Tilly has her bf."

"Is he going to jump into the Bellagio fountains naked during a show for $50k?"

"Uhh…no, more like he’s going to stuff 15 marshmellows in his mouth in 150 seconds for $500."

In related news, Javed Abrahams has the chip lead now with 521k. The prop bet participants are stacked at: Gavin Smith (270k), Mark Newhouse (146k), Phil Laak (107,500), Jennifer Tilly (155k).
