Ty Stewart Talks 2010 WSOP on Poker2Nite

Harrah’s/WSOP VP Ty Stewart was on Poker2Nite this week to discuss the 2010 World Series of Poker (which is just six weeks away…crazy).

What didn’t make the air though was some breakingish news about the 2010 WSOP.

On the bracelet ceremonies:

“We’re going to do it bigger and better. In the new big space we have, we have a proper stage … instead of a temporary thing that was amongst the players and peers. It’s going to be done really big with a proper PA system, with proper lighting. It’s going to be a big focus of the World Series more than ever…Many folks will be awarding bracelets…We hope to have the honor of Jack Binion award some of the bracelets, [and] former champions.”

On if there will there ever be an online WSOP bracelet event:

“I think it will be huge, and … at some point we need to do it…Our issue right now is we have to have open fields. A bracelet is all about anybody having equal opportunity and right now we can’t get that equal opportunity even in a dot net with some of the state by state regulations…Over time we hope to have it.”

Man, Trishelle Canatella Pwned On the Clock…

On the latest ep of Poker2Nite, UFC Octagon ring announcer and poker player Bruce Buffer was in-studio. For limited play, Buffer has got a pretty good cashing track record in live events (interview with him at 2009 WSOP here.

Anyway, we figured that when Trishelle Canatella got 8 q’s right for the first On the Clock, that she’d hold that record for all of week. But it’s held. And people keep getting worse scores despite what we think are easier questions. Take Buffer, who got the lowest tally to date with four.

Prahlad Friedman Breaks Steve Nash’s Free Throw Record

If you missed last night’s episode of Poker2Nite on Versus, here’s the clip of Prahlad Friedman sinking 23 free throws in 60 seconds with just one ball and one rebounder, breaking Steve Nash’s record of 21. And this guy’s record as well.

Of note, unlike Nash and the other guy, Prahlad did this outdoors with the sun, wind and shadows to contend with. Much more difficult.

Below is another clip from last night’s episode in which Tony G all but confirms who Isildur1 is and Dana Workman all but confirms that Jennicide has huge boobs.

Prahlad Friedman Attempts to Break Steve Nash’s 60 Sec FT Record on P2N

For a six-foot (Jewish?) white-guy, Prahlad Friedman is a pretty sick bballer.

On tonight’s Poker2Nite (Versus, 11pm ET, 8pm PT), Prahlad attempts to break Steve Nash‘s record for most free-throws made in 60 seconds. Conversely, he also tries to break this guy’s record as well.

Check it out or watch it online on Thursday here.

In unrelated news, we don’t participate much in Chat Roulette since we’re not a big fan of the random penis shot, but the site is getting pretty popular, so the above vid is the P2N crew doing a stellar job avoiding the random penis.

Finally, if you missed Scott Huff’s Christopher Walken impression last week, check it out. Pretty damn good. Almost as good, his Charles Barkley impression this week. Not good, his rapping.
