Prahlad Friedman Breaks Steve Nash’s Free Throw Record

If you missed last night’s episode of Poker2Nite on Versus, here’s the clip of Prahlad Friedman sinking 23 free throws in 60 seconds with just one ball and one rebounder, breaking Steve Nash’s record of 21. And this guy’s record as well.

Of note, unlike Nash and the other guy, Prahlad did this outdoors with the sun, wind and shadows to contend with. Much more difficult.

Below is another clip from last night’s episode in which Tony G all but confirms who Isildur1 is and Dana Workman all but confirms that Jennicide has huge boobs.

Prahlad Friedman Attempts to Break Steve Nash’s 60 Sec FT Record on P2N

For a six-foot (Jewish?) white-guy, Prahlad Friedman is a pretty sick bballer.

On tonight’s Poker2Nite (Versus, 11pm ET, 8pm PT), Prahlad attempts to break Steve Nash‘s record for most free-throws made in 60 seconds. Conversely, he also tries to break this guy’s record as well.

Check it out or watch it online on Thursday here.

In unrelated news, we don’t participate much in Chat Roulette since we’re not a big fan of the random penis shot, but the site is getting pretty popular, so the above vid is the P2N crew doing a stellar job avoiding the random penis.

Finally, if you missed Scott Huff’s Christopher Walken impression last week, check it out. Pretty damn good. Almost as good, his Charles Barkley impression this week. Not good, his rapping.

Corwin Cole Day 3 Chip Leader of World Poker Tour Festa al Lago

While not necessarily represented in this photo, the Festa al Lago is still loaded with big names.

While not necessarily represented in this photo, the Festa al Lago is still loaded with big names.

Day 3 of the WPT Festa al Lago wrapped short of the money with 37 total remaining.

Corwin Cole took the chip lead by the end of the day, stacked at 996,000.

But the bigger and completely manufactured story by us is: can a married couple make the same WPT final table for the first time?

Dee Luong, a woman, is among the big stacks with 771,500. She is married to Prahlad Friedman, who is among the short stacks with 188,000. While a long-shot from actually happening, if watching years of Lost has taught us anything, it’s that anything can happen.

Lots of big names remain, including Mark Seif (759,000), yesterday’s chip leader Jason Somerville (669,000), Dutch Boyd (616,500), half-man, half-amazing Freddy Deeb (588,000), Chris “Jesus” Ferguson (535,000), Matthew Stout (498,500), Brandon Cantu (414,000), Kido Pham (401,000), Dan Shak (398,000), Johnny “Cliff Josephy” Bax (385,000), Andy Bloch (320,000), Falcon Heene (310,000), Chau Giang (293,500), Lee Markholt-Watkinson (273,500), and Vivek Rajkumar (253,000). That’s pretty much the majority of the field.

Prahlad Friedman Rapping > Jeff Madsen Rapping

Prahlad Friedman is back.

To the mass public, Friedman was most known for his “Poker Is Fun” rap back in the 2006 WSOP Main Event (as well as his Jeffrey Lisandro confrontation).

After that Friedman, who to the non-masses was known as Spirit Rock as well as one of the best high stakes online players in the world before Russ Hamilton (allegedly) robbed him silly, kind of disappeared. But he made another deep run at the ME this year, then captured his first WPT title a month later.

Now, Friedman drops a new rap that is so good, it’s the equivalent of Beck going from Mellow Gold to Odelay. In comparison to Jeff Madsen’s ESPN rap earlier this year, it’s like B-Rabbit absolutely pwning Papa Doc. Not even in the same league.

Bonus to Friedman for slagging on the “Eastgate Face.”

Oh yeah, Day 6 of the 2009 WSOP Main Event is on tonight at 9pm EST.

This Explains A Lot

We know a lot of people from Cleveland. So this video explains a lot.

It also kind of reminds us of WPT Legends of Poker winner Prahlad Friedman up until this past week. Just kind of shows up, scats all over everything, and takes off. We’d like to see a dramatic recreation of this on the Poker Weekly Update. Stapes, get on that.

UPDATE: WTF is it with killer bear news lately? What is this, the Summer of the Shark again? Except with Bears? Read more here.
