WPT Celebrity Invitational

WPT Celebrity Invitational Is This Weekend

Natasha Alam

True Blood's Natasha Alam is the actress we'd most like to have a last longer with this weekend.

The always a good time WPT Celebrity Invitational is this weekend at the Commerce, and among the celebrities set to attend include Don “Fucking” Cheadle, Hank Azaria, Josh Malina, Dr. Phil McGraw, Randy Couture, Coco Crisp, Jose Canseco, Sean Astin, Samm Levine, Mekhi Phiffer, Mimi Rogers and, representing the “inferior brothers” contingent, Daniel Baldwin and Donnie Walberg. See a full list here.

More importantly, all three of the Entities Who Comprise Wicked Chops Poker will once again be playing when action starts Saturday around 8pm PST, and chances are there’s a chance we may be “live tweeting” the event, so follow @wickedchops just in case we do.

Finally, and most importantly, the WPT Celebrity Invitational consistently draws a slew of hot reality TV chicks, Playboy Playmates and actresses that keeps our photographer busy (look for pics here next week), and this year’s no exception. Among those “tentatively” scheduled to appear include Sara Jean Underwood, Kelly Monaco, Hope Dworaczyk and this year’s winner in the pre-event number of Google Image searches, Natasha Alam of True Blood. Damn.

Below, photos of the girls we’d most like to see at our table this weekend.

LeRon Washington Wins WPT Celebrity Invitational

Seen Above: ClubWPT.com qualifier LeRon Washington contemplating how he qualified for the WPT Celebrity Invitational by qualifying on ClubWPT.com.

In possibly the best possible advertisement for ClubWPT.com imaginable, LeRon Washington, an online qualifier through ClubWPT.com (people really play that huh), won the WPT Celebrity Invitational.

For the win, LeRon, who qualified on ClubWPT.com, banks $100,000 and a seat into the $25,000 WPT championship in April. All that just for qualifying at ClubWPT.com.

Sean Urban, who did not qualify on ClubWPT.com, finished second for $50,000. Another non- ClubWPT.com qualifier, Trishelle Canatella, placed third for $20,000.

Read all about the ClubWPT.com qualifiers win here.

In related news, follow the WPT LA Poker Classic final table, where six non-ClubWPT.com qualifiers vie for a $1.7M first place prize, starting at 4pm PST here.

WPT Celebrity Invitational Red Carpet

Watch WPT Celebrity Invitational on RawVegas.tv

Still a week away from the final table of the WPT Celebrity Invitational, so in the so-called “interim,” here’s footage from the red carpet this past Saturday night (including an interview with final six’er Trishelle Cannatella).

Of note, and especially since American Idol‘s top 24 semi-finals starts tonight, look for the interview with William Hung (around 3:00 mins in). Not to make any sort of stereotypes, but we’re pretty sure the South Park guys based the owner of City Wok after him.

In related news, do you think girls fuck William Hung? Mini-Me still pulls tail, what’s the +/- on she bangs with Hung a year?

Trishelle Cannatella Makes WPT Celebrity Invitational Final Table

Seen here at the red carpet before the event, Trischelle Cannatella isn't doing the poker-is-a-skill-game-argument much favors.

Good news for poker players looking for another morally casual female to join the circuit.

Trishelle Cannatella, who once dated 9/11 conspiracist Jeff Madsen (2/5/10: Never Forget) but is better known for basically breaking the reality-sex-on-tv-barrier, has made the WPT Celebrity Invitational final table.

By all accounts, Trishelle has played a very solid game, but still, it’s Trishelle. She’ll go to the final table stacked fourth overall with 1,540,000.

In first overall is Sean Urban with 2,090,000.

Also at the final table is ClubWPT.com qualifier LeRon Washington who is stacked at 1,790,000.

One Entity Still Alive at WPT Celebrity Invitational + NAPT, EPT Updates

Entity Snake (right foreground) is among the remaining few at the WPT Celebrity Invitational.

While Chops busted early and The Addict hung on to late in the evening before being eliminated, Entity Snake ended Day 1 of the WPT Celebrity Invitational among the chip leaders, stacked eight overall.

As of post-timeTM, Snake is still among the 72 remaining, but has lost about 40% of his starting stack. Still, not bad considering he ran a marathon this morning and then later did some blow with Marcy Playground who also happened to be staying at the Commerce. Only one of the two things in the previous sentence is true. Guess which one.

Trishelle Cannatella is the current chip leader. Holy shit, right? Other notables in the field are Tiffany Michelle, Rich Eisen, Jeremy London, Rikki Lake, Liv Boeree, Lacey Jones, and Prahlad Friedman. Follow the action over at the WPT website here.

At the NAPT Venetian $5,000 buy-in Main Event, a total field of 872 registered by the end of Day 1, creating a first place prize of $827,648. Current notable big stacks include Chris Moneymaker, Daniel Negreanu, and Vanessa Rousso, a woman. Get full chip counts here.

And finally, two guys you’ve never heard of are playing heads-up at the 2010 EPT Copenhagen final table. Follow here.

UPDATE: Snake is out. Also eliminated are Lacey Jones, Tiffany Michelle, and Liv Boeree.
