Yevgeniy Timoshenko (above) is looking to win a Triple Crown of sorts: WPT, WSOP, and WCOOP title all in one year.
Yevgeniy Timoshenko is on some kind of heater.
Dude (looks like a lady) won the WPT Championship in April, banking just over $2M. Then we won the WCOOP Main Event earlier this month for another $1.7M (followed by a $70k online win within 24 hours). Now at post time, with 58 players left (36 make the money), Timoshenko is making a run at the chip lead of the WSOP Europe Main Event.
Yev is currently fourth overall in chips. He trails Ian Munns (pic of Munns here…yep he’s probably British). Other big names remaining include Steve Zolotow, Dave Ulliott, Barry Shulman (really? man…), Amnon Filippi, Antoine Sauot, Daniel Negreanu, Doyle Brunson, James Akenhead, Antonio Esfandiari, Annette Obrestad (a woman), WSOP Last Woman StandingTM Leo Margets, Men “The Master” Nguyen, and half-man, half-amazing Freddy Deeb.

Day 1′s of the
2009 WSOPE Main Event have wrapped. Overall, attendance has dropped, and this without having to turn away players like on Day 1D of the 2009 U.S. American version of the Big One.
A total of 335 entered this year, down from last year’s 362. Why the drop? The EconomyTM? Too much competition? Will this trend continue? Only time will tell.
The two Day 1 chip leaders were Brian Powell (194,600) and Steve Zolotow (166,825). So we don’t have to search for a random hot girl for this post, we’ll just go with Zolotow’s interview about being on HBO’s Cathouse from this summer above. We’d apologize, but by posting this instead of another hot girl, you’ll maybe appreciate the next hot girl we post just a little bit more.
Some notable big stacks include but are certainly not limited to Jason Mercier (189,725), Sami ‘LarsLuzak’ Kelopuro (168,925), N9′er Antoine Saout (144,400), and Doyle Brunson (92,900).

2009 WSOP Europe:
:: As we wrote earlier, Erik Cajelais won Event #2 (£2,500 Pot Limit Hold’em/Omaha), banking £104,677. Men “The Master” Nguyen finished fourth. Go to PokerListings here for an interview with The Master where he denies all of the cheating and chip dumping allegations from his past. Don’t know if we’ve seen him talk about that one before.
:: Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan is looking to clear forum rumors about his sexuality capture his first bracelet by bringing his hot-ass girlfriend to sweat him winning Event #3 (£5,000 Pot Limit Omaha). With 26 of the initial 154 starting field remaining, durrrr holds the chip lead. Other big named big stacks include Howard Lederer, Sandra Naujoks (a woman), Robert Williamson III, and Barry Greenstein. Get full reporting here (click the Live Reporting link). :: And according to this tweet, it looks like Phil Hellmuth gets to make his grand Caesar entrance to the WSOPE Main Event too.

The Intense Stare of Scott Clements has finally met its match with Erik Cajelais.
Taking a page out of the Intense Stare of Scott Clements‘ book “How To Win Tournaments By Scaring The Crap Out Of Your Opponents,” Erik Cajelais of America Jr. has won Event No. 2 (£2,500 Pot Limit Hold’em/Pot Limit Omaha) at the 2009 WSOP Europe.
The 27-year-old unfortunate wearer of Ed Hardy apparel, who looks more like someone you’d see on MMAFix.com than a poker site, won his first WSOP bracelet by scaring the crap out of a final table loaded with multiple bracelet winners, including the always affable Men Nguyen, Hoyt Corkins, Chris Bjorin and Howard Lederer. Cajelais banks £104,677 for the win, or approximately $5.3M US dollars at the current exchange rate.
