Texas Poker Pros/Bloggers Voice Support for Live Poker Bill at Hearing In Austin

TexasflagWhile you ponder creative photo spreads for Keeley Hazell so you can win a Wicked Chops Poker t-shirt, the dangerously good-looking gang at Pokerati.com are at the Texas State Capitol in Austin for a public hearing concerning HB 3186, which would legalize live poker in Texas by allowing certain establishments to have up to four real money poker tables, among other things.

Also on hand for the hearing are noted Texas card tossers Crandell Addington, Lyle Berman, Erick Lindgren and Clonie Gowen. Ironically, out of those four, only the legendary Addington regularly wears a cowboy hat, which is lame because what good is it to be a Texan if you don’t wear a cowboy hat, since Texas is the only place you can wear a cowboy hat without looking like a complete hick. But that’s another story.

While you supposedly were going to be able to listen in on the hearing via a live stream, it didn’t work for us–something about a decoder ring–but thankfully the Pokerati-ers are live blogging from the State Capitol so stay tuned for the latest there.
