The inaugural Merit Cyprus “Classic” wrapped with Frenchman Thomas Bichon impressively battling back from final table short-stack to tournament champion, banking $579,165.

Somewhere in France, the heads of the French military (do they even have a military still?) are like, “Sacrebleu! We must interrogate Monsieur Bichon by locking him in a French interrogation room in a villa in Nice where the room has a view of le ocean and the pillows are extra soft and he’ll get the finest cuisine and we will interrogate him using our harshest tactics of repeatedly asking him nicely on what exactly the j’en sais quois is that allowed him to not thoroughly capitulate in the face of adversity a hoh hoh hoh!”

A bunch of people you don’t know (except maybe Rep Porter) finished second through sixth. Get full results here. Watch Bichon celebrate his victory like he won the French Open at Roland Garros in the below vid. And most importantly, get more Christina Stefanidi pics here.
