Tommy Vedes entered the 2012 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown final table as the short-stack.
However, like some metaphor that signifies overcoming odds and adversity, Vedes persevered. And when the final table was over, Vedes had all the chips, capturing his second World Poker Tour title.
For the win, Vedes banks $779,520. He defeated ex-November Niner John “Jimmy” Dolan ($459,360) heads-up for the title.
Joe Serock, who started the final table as big stack, finished third for $306,240. This is Serock’s second third in a WPT event this year.
