We’re unabashed, big fans of the World Series of Poker.
It’s the singular poker event that matters each year. The whole community measures its momentum based on the WSOP’s performance. Is attendance up? Then poker is doing good! A new mainstream advertiser? Poker is accepted! Ratings down? The fad has ended!
Anyway, the WSOP is a big deal. People want to play in it.
And since Black Friday, there aren’t a lot of options for U.S. American players to win entries into the WSOP any more.
As no one in U.S. America can legally win for-money satellites, here’s a list of sites where you can cash a ticket to the big dance.
- HogWild Poker – From what we found, HWP has the most WSOP giveaways. Free-to-play prizes include a Main Event seat package ($13,000), six $1,250 packages for the weekend warrior donkaments, and over 20 smaller staking packages going up to $750 in value for the daily deepstacks and satellite events. Our math math math has the total value well over
$20k$25k (again, our math sucks) for the next few months in WSOP related buy-ins. Read more about HWP’s WSOP giveaways here.
- Attack Poker – The new kid on the block has a “Main Event Challenge.” It awards a $10k WSOP seat. You have to win an entry to a 32-person HU tourney which you have to win as well. More on Attack here.
- Face Up Gaming – FUG has an event that awards a $10,000 ME seat, a $2.5k WSOP voucher for second, a $1,500 WSOP voucher to third, and a $1k WSOP voucher to fourth through ninth. Total giveaway worth math math math calculator yep $20,000. More on FUG here.
Surprisingly, that’s about it. Comment section if you’re aware of others. But old mainstays like NLOP, South Point Poker, and new sites like GoldenNuggetPoker are not doing anything as of yet.
Of course, if the WSOP isn’t your bag and you’re more into the WPT, ClubWPT gives away a Main Event seat to all of their live tournaments. Check that out here.
